State Hospital Associations

Data auditing

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests that credible data are vital for prevention, public reporting, and incentivizing improvements in clinical performance.  Hospital associations use data to assure competence, identify weaknesses in surveillance, and enable improvement by teaching.

The ultimate goal of these efforts is to enhance the quality of the data to support surveillance, prevention, and control of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
